Hello from Guangzhou! We made it to the White Swan Hotel a couple hours ago. Where we are staying is such a nice area. Everything is lit up at night (hotels, boats on the water, etc) that it looks like Las Vegas. We are right on the Pearl River and our hotel rooms look right out over the water. This morning, I went to pick up Teagan's Chinese Passport in Nanchang. We then left at noon of the airport. I really didn't get a chance to take many photos because we were traveling today. Teagan did great on the plane. She slept the whole flight--so did Briley. Teagan also slept better last night. She still got up 4 times, but for only a few minutes each time and only needed a bottle to go back to sleep one of those times. She is always smiling now especially when we say her name. The first thing I did once I got to Guangzhou was to buy a stroller. I carried her through the airports in her hip hammock with my back pack on my back. She is so heavy. I decided to buy a stroller for the airports on the way home and while we are in Guangzhou to save on my back. We ate supper at Lucy's (remember Julie--good food!) Tomorrow Teagan goes for her medical and to get visa photos taken. Peter is then taking us on a tour of Guangzhou and out to dinner.

This photo was taken inside the White Swan Hotel. This waterfall is 3 stories high and dumps into a pond of Koi fish that are just huge. When we eat breakfast in the morning, we will be just to the left of this waterfall. I will have more photos to post tommorow after our tour with Peter.

HI Deb and family,
I am so relieved to hear that Teagan is adjusting so well.....far sooner that I thought she would. I can't wait to see Briley Boo in action as a big sister!! She will have Teagan hopping to her every command in no time!! The worst of the trip is definitely over so just enjoy your time being s tourist.
My dad's surgery went well. He had a quadruple by-pass in all. He is still in ICU but is doing as well as they expect. Yesterday was a loooong day for us and today promises to be the same....just waiting and worrying. Pray for my dad and us.....I will keep you posted as I am able.
Love ya....

The picture of the hotel is beautiful! Koi, huh? I bet Marlene and Bob just love it, comparing to their Koi at home and all. Just enjoy yourselves from here on out! I'll check back tomorrow for more updates! By the way, I love this website, it's such a nice way to keep in touch. I find myself checking it many times during the day. Have a great day!

Hi everybody!
What a cool picture of you and the girls Debbie! I was going to e-mail from home last night, but got busy with Brady. He came home from school yesterday with a fever, headache and sore throat.....yep it's strep. Got him to the doctor and he's on antibiotics and home with my mom today.
So glad things are going well now and you can enjoy the rest of your stay. Keep the pictures coming, they're great! Talk to you later!
Lisa
Good morning Rupp family:
Look'in good Debbie. The pic of the hotel is just beautiful. Enjoy your stay there. Very cold this morning - 16 degrees. Sounds like you will be eating "real food". Stay healthy.
Debbie, you can make a new employment of being a tour guide. And, don't forget to keep up the web site after you get home. Also. Bob......R wants to know, any old Fords or Chevys on the side streets?? Our car will be loaded soon, and hopefully we will see ya soon in the sunny south. Debbie, thanks for a great ride, and so glad the girls are doing well!! Mindy....your web site is fanstatic !! ^j^ hugs to all R & L
Hi Deb & Rupps,
I came downstairs to check the web and there was nothing on there yet. I was dissapointed. I went and done the old ladies hair and when I was done I went again to check the computer and YEE-HAW!! There you were. I look forward to this every morning. Once again, glad to hear everything is going good. It's colder than Billy's snot here. Talk tomorrow.
Hi Debbie, You all look so much better! Enjoy the rest of your time in China! Be glad you missed the training we went to last week! It was a long 4 days! Amy and I were able to have some bonding time cause we sat together!
The most interesting thing were the other counties, Very interesting! hehe
Miss you and see you soon! Kathy M
Hi Debbie and girls,
What a great picture. Oh how I can still taste the food from Lucy's! The noodle dish was so good I think I ate it 3 times.
Enjoy the shopping and the parks around the hotel. Are the people in the park still doing Tai Chi in the morning?
How are the other families doing?
Take care adn I am so happy for all of you.
Linnea loved the pictures of Briley getting her hair done with the hair bows. Everytime she sees Teagan she says "Mom she looks like me and she is sooooo cute!"
Hugs to all,
Julie and Linnea
