Last full day in Nanchang

Today I completed more paperwork for the adoption. We went to the Chinese Notary this morning to pick up Teagan's Abandonment Certificate, Birth Certificate, and Adoption Certificate. This afternoon I have to do more paperwork for the American Immigration part of the adoption. Today we also went to a Pedistrian Street with a lot of shopping and restaurants. We ate lunch at McDonald's! Tasted like home. Marlene had another pleasant Taxi ride--Bob says you don't need to go to Cedar Point, just ride in a Chinese Taxi!

Teagan is doing great during the day. She loves her stroller now and loves being outside and seeing China too. But, sleeping at night is a different story. Last night she was up every 2 hours (4 times total). She woke one time and cried and screamed for 45 minutes. Since she is awake so much at night, she takes a lot of cat naps all day long. We are trying to keep her up more today to see if she sleeps better tonight. Briley is still sleeping in my parents room so that she is at least getting good sleep. I miss having her with me though. Tomorrow we fly to Guangzhou for the last leg of the trip. We are ready for a change of scenery and Guangzhou is a really neat place especially the White Swan Hotel and surrounding area.
A Chinese Grocery Store and Market with bikes outside.
At the Pedistrian mall, we went inside this store and these ladies started doing Briley's hair. They wanted me to buy the clips which I did, because they are really cool and different from what we have back home. Mom bought some for Emma too!
This photo is of meat hanging from people's apartment windows. Gross!
At the Pedistrian Street. Man pulling child on bike.

So glad to hear that things are going better for you-at least during the day. Hope you are getting some rest while Teagan naps during the day.
Teagan certainly looks like a much happier girl. It is so much fun to watch her change from the first pictures until now. Thanks so much for sharing this incredible journey with us. Looking forward to the rest of the trip.

Glad to hear things are going good during the day. Not so good at night, give it time but dont' let it run you down, get some rest when you can. I hate cedar point, so I know I would'nt do well in a taxi there. Imagine me after a few rides and what I would say to them. It wouldn't be pretty! Have a safe flight!

Oh Debra Sue! I just love hearing from you daily! I also love the pictures! What an adorable picture of Teagan, looks like she's adjusting comfortably! How nice that some girls did Briley's hair, I bet she was excited to have that done! Clips for Emma too?? Well thank you in advance, you didn't have to do that!

How wonderful that it's time to fly to your next destination! That means your closer to coming home! Very exciting! I hope Teagan and Briley as well as everyone else do well on the plane. Safe Travels and we'll check back tomorrow!

Marlene - everything here is fine. Stacie said Sue was there last night for you to sub bells, don't worry about a thing. It's extreemly cold here! We've got about a 1/2 inch of snow on the ground that isn't melting, it stays that cold during the day! The roads have been fine though, no school closings or delays! Just FYI, Deal or No Deal was on last night, the lady won $83,000, she had $50,000 in her case. She did well! Justt thought you might like some info on your favorite show!

Debbie, so glad to hear things are going better for you. I just love following along, I check for updates every morning and I love the pictures and following your adventure, and believe me when you are in another country it is an adventure. I laughed about the taxi rides, their driving in Russia was the same way, I don't think they have any driving rules. But enjoy every moment you have there it is something that will always be special to you and your family. Teagan sure looks so cute and Briley looks like a happy big sister. Good luck on the rest of your trip and look forward to seeing you when you return home.

It has been awsome watching your journey. We check every night two or three times at least! It is soooo cold here. It's supposed to be about 7 degrees on Friday. Teagan looks happier everytime we see her. The kids love listening to your dialog and think the pictures are cool. Mollie still wants to know if hse can come and visit Briley. We miss you and can't wait to see you.
