How can so much poo come out of there?

Greetings from China! Monday is almost over and we only have 2 more days in China. We are all ready to come home. The photo above is of the girls wearing t-shirts that say "I love my big sister" and "I love my little sister". I got them for them at Christmas. Teagan hasn't been feeling well. I don't know if it is the formula or just a cold. She has a runny nose and cough, but is having terrible runny diapers and she has been spitting up a lot too (so much that I have to change outfits). I may have to try a different formula when we get home if this doesn't stop. I have her on soy as many Chinese are lactose intolerant and they report that most babies are on a soy formula. She went back to being up 4 times again last night. At 5am, she had major blow outs in her diaper--not fun at that time of morning in a hotel with no changing table. She really hasn't eaten much today either. I hope she does better tonight.

Today we didn't do too much. This morning we went to a park nearby that had play equipment for the kids. This park was different than what we have that the older Chinese people also use the park as a work out area. There were as many adults there using the equipment as children. This afternoon, Briley and dad stayed in the hotel (Briley napped) and mom, Teagan and I went shopping. I think I may need an extra suitcase to get everything home! By the way, Stacie, they do have Coach purses here. They are in many different sizes, colors and styles. Let us know what size, color, style (shoulder strap or none). They range in prices from 120 to 160 dollars (that's 15-20 in American money).
The White Swan Hotel has started decorating for Chinese New Year which begins the middle of February. This year is the Year of the Pig. The tree is decorated with oranges and red envelops. The Chinese put money and candy coins in the red envelopes and give them to children as good luck.
A woman in the park doing her exercises on the equipment.
There are many statues all over the island. Here is Briley standing in line with other children. I thought that was too cute. She is the same size.
We also spent some time today sitting near the pool. It was very sunny today and close to 70 degrees. It is too cold to swim, but nice outside anyway. There are palm trees everywhere in Guangzhou. Sitting by the pool today, Briley learned to tie her own shoes! She was so proud of her accomplishment. She has been trying to tie her shoes the whole trip and finally did it today.

Tomorrow is Teagan's Consulate appointment that Peter goes to on our behalf. I need to stay in my room at the hotel until he calls just in case they need any information from me. On Wednesday, we go to the American consulate for the swearing in ceremony. Then Teagan will have an American Visa and we will be free to come home!

Looks like you are on the downswing and getting close to coming home. Hope that Teagan is feeling better by then but everything is easier to deal with in your own home.
Glad you spent some time by the pool but looks a little cold! Great picture Briley-you look just like everyone else in the line!
Look forward to seeing you soon.

Hello Rupps!
What a bummer Teagan hasn't been feeling well. I don't know what to say about the poopy diapers, but I used to use Pedialyte with Emma when she had the poops. Now, I dont' know if China sells anything like that or not, but maybe it would be worth a try?!? I was glad to hear though that Briley can now tie her shoes! Way to go Briley!!! That's pretty cool!
Sounds like things are coming to an end for your trip. I bet you are all excited to come home. We'll be excited to have you guys home! Just a few short days and you'll all be home! Very exciting. So, what is your itinerary for coming home? When do you leave China?
How's Marlene and Bob doing? I hope well! Enjoy your last few days on the other side of the world. Can't wait to see you when you get home!
Hugs from Me!

We have arrived and I had to purchase some air time, and found your web site and now life goes on.
They say it's going to get cold here, but not as cold as n/w Ohio.
the sun feels wonderful.

Hi Rupps:

Your pictures are great! It's so much fun to follow you around China. I'm glad things are going better with the baby. I will be praying for a safe and easy plane ride home(re the diaper thing). Congrats to Briley on the shoe tying...maybe she can teach Matthew some time. Can't wait to see you guys and meet Teagan.

Hello Everyone!
I'm bummed that Teagan isn't feeling well again. The poor kid-she has been through enough. The nurse in me says - "Give her lots of fluids so she doesn't get dehydtrated"
Don't worry about driving the Vue when you get back - my Vue did just fine driving in these trecherous conditions. Big Red can handle it as will yours. At this point you guys picked a good time to go - we actually have snow.
You guys, don't worry about me and the Coach bag. The Coach that I like at the Franklin Park Mall is $158.00. Your price is a bargain! How can that be? To give only that much for a bag would be a dream!
I love the picture of the girls with their matchy-matchy shirts on. I am going to print that picture out and put it on my fridge!
I will talk to you all later!
