PaPa Turned Chinese!!

When I was writting my blogg for the night, Briley put her new Chinese hat on Dad, backwards. She was laughing so hard and then asked to take a picture of him. Briley took this photo herself--she is really good with my digital camera! Dad is learning the ways of the Chinese--now if he could just get used to the food, he would be all set! I just had to post this one. Make sure you look through all 3 posts.

Good Morning Rupp's!!
You all look to be having a fine time!! Bob...I think there is a punk rock band somewhere that is desperately looking for you!! The girls look so cute together. Sam wants to know how they cook the scorpions.....do they just fry them? or boil them?? haha. Your blogs have been so wonderful....just a spot of light in my day.

My dad is doing better. Friday night and most of Saturday were miserable. He said the pain was more than he could bear. He had a bad reaction to morphine and was afraid to take anything else so they were giving him tylenol and the pain just caught up with him. He began taking Vicadin around noon on Saturday and has done very very nicely on that...no bad reaction and now no pain. He just needs to work on building up his stamina...he is very weak. My mom had to cancell her knee replacement surgery because of my dad's surgery so she is really in a lot of pain and not sleeping well. I am hoping now with my dad more comfortable that she will be able to relax a little more. It's not an experience I would wish on anyone but such a reminder of how awesome our God is to have such a surgery to repair the heart and to heal us!! Thanks for the thoughts and prayers....we feel it all. Get home so I can whine to you in person!! I miss you!

Hi Rupps,
Great photos. I know you are anxious to go home. It has been so great being able to "go with you" to China.
Linnea wants to tell Briley she loves her pictures especially one of her holding the star fish.

Hello Rupps!
What great pictures of China. I love seeing your daily adventures! Teagan looks as if she's adjusting comfortably! That makes me happy and very excited to meet her. Briley looks like she's having a blast! She should consider Photography in school, she'd be great! She took a great picture of Uncle Bob, nice one Briley and Uncle Bob!
Scorpions?? Are you for real?? That's disgusting, but then again, that's what the chinese know. That wouldn't be for me!
So, Marlene and Bob, church for you sounded like it was 2 hours long, we were in and out of our church service this morning in about 50 minutes! Tim preached for 10 minutes or so. Short, sweet and to the point!
Your trip is almost over! Enjoy what's left of it, because soon you'll be home and wading through 2-3 inches of snow on the ground here! I'm not kidding either! We drove 40 mph the whole way home from church, the roads are covered.
Well since you enjoy my TV updates, nothing was on last night, but Deal or No Deal is on again tomorrow, I'll update then.
Thanks again for sharing the pictures, and by the way, Marlene -your lookin' good!!!

Hugs from Me!
Sarah

Hello,
I'm not sure I'd be able to pick your dad out of a crowd in China. He fits in so well! You look like your time is being spent well with lots of laughs. That's awsome. We are getting some snow today. It is beautiful. The kids are so excited to have snow to play in. We are all praying for a snow day! Isn't that sad? You keep posting and we'll keep reading!

Enjoy the last leg of your journey. Debbie, you have a nice family. Enjoy your time with them, as they will grow fast. Nice pic of PaPa, Briley. Your Grandma should consider being a model. Ha!

Hi Rupp's

We liked the pictures, they have all been intresting.

It reminds me of 42 years ago Bangkok Thialand.

Many of the things are the same.

I see even my Chevy belt buckel made it to China.

I sure hope Bob wares that hat to Breakfast on Sat mornings.

I like the picture of Marlene, I told you, you were only fluffy.

Glad to see you all, when you get back home.
