Teagan's First Haircut--Briley's New Hair Cut

Every Spring we have gotten Briley's hair cut short for the summer. This Haircut will hold extra memories as we had to stop cutting her hair twice at Aunt Marilyn's house in Pettisville to go into the basement due to a Tornado warning. The phone kept ringing as everyone was telling us a tornado was spotted and heading towards Pettisville. When we made it into the basement, we only stayed about 1 minute as we were all nosey and wanted to look for the tornado. So, outside we all went to "Tornado Watch". I was lugging Teagan, Briley running along in half-cut wet hair, Marilyn carrying the phone and answering a million phone calls, Eric pointing to the tornado as it was already past us, and Amber scared the most! It was quite a time. Briley's hair did get finished and the photo of the new do is below.Teagan's turn was next (after all the excitement). She needed the sides of her hair trimmed and a little on the back. She did well for most of the cut. She didn't want to sit still and really checked out Marilyn. By the end, she was done and crying!

Teagan's first hair cut. She had enough of this sitting still and messing with her hair!

Back to the storm...we left Marilyn's house for home when it was just starting to rain. The sky looked bad, but I figured I would have time to get us home before it got too bad. Well...I could hardly see by the time I got to the Essen Haus. I almost pulled my car into their parking lot to wait it out, but I decided to turn onto Rt. 2 and head for Wauseon. I was glad I left...the rain slowed. Teagan, still being tramatized from her hair cut, cried all the way home! When I pulled my car into my garage, the hail started almost instantly. I have never seen hail so big. When they said golf ball sized hail hit, it was not an exaggeration. My whole lawn was covered, branches were down, and I had damage to my rain gutters, and the frames around my windows when it was all finished. At least my car didn't get damaged and we made it home safely!
