Trips to COSI and Toledo Zoo

We have been getting out of the house as much as possible. Last week we went with my cousin, Sarah and her two girls, Emma and Leah to COSI in Toledo. We had quite a time getting the car packed with 4 car seats and 2 strollers. We didn't think we would get it all in one car, but we made it! The girls all had a great time at COSI. If you have never been there, there is a young children's area where Briley and Emma enjoyed playing make believe in the Hospital and Tree house. They even had a baby area for Teagan to play in . The big girls also played in the sand and water area, the bubble area, the sports zone, the optical illusion area, and in the construction area. It was a really fun day.

This week, I took Briley and Teagan to the Zoo. Briley has always loved going to the Zoo. Teagan was "all eyes" at the Zoo until she fell asleep in the wagon. She especially enjoyed watching the ducks and even said "duck" a few times. Briley was disappointed that the Africa section was closed as they were introducing new animals into that area. Also the Polar Bears were not on display as they have babies. They are supposed to be on display in May, so we will most likely be going back sometime in May as well.

Teagan is really getting around the house now. She is crawling all over and has just started pulling to stand. She is 11 months old tomorrow and rapidly approaching her first birthday. She has changed and grown so much already since I got her in January. Briley has finally gotten a touch of what it is like to have a sibling get into your stuff all the time! It is funny to hear her tell Teagan to "Get out of my toys, Teagan!". Now that Teagan is mobile, she doesn't want her baby toys, only big sister's toys! Briley has her preschool program tomorrow night--she is the Raven in the Noah's Ark Program. Her Tap program is Sunday and then she will be finished with tap until the Fall.

As for me, I am almost finished with scrapbooking the girls most recent photos. I have cleaned out my storage room and have eliminated a lot of "stuff" that we no longer need. I only have 5 more weeks until I have to go back to work. We want to continue to do as many things together as we can before I have to return. I want to take the girls to Sauder's Museum, Shipshewana, the Zoo again, and to several parks in the area. Briley also wants to help me plant flowers when the weather is ready to stay warm.
