We celebrated Teagan's first birthday yesterday, Memorial Day. She was one on the 27th. We all had a nice time by the pond at my parents home. We had a cookout and birthday celebration for Teagan in the Gazebo. Teagan loves the water just like Briley does. (Briley spent most of the day in the pond yesterday. She says she is a Mermaid!) Teagan had fun digging through her cake. She managed to get a few bites into her mouth, but had fun just playing with it. It's hard to believe she is one already. I thought a lot about her birth mother this week wondering if she is thinking about Teagan. It had to be extremely hard for her to give up her baby. I am so fortunate to have Teagan in my life. 
Teagan had her 12 month check up today. She now weighs 22# 6 ounces which is the 75th percentile. She is 31 1/4 inches long which is the 95th percentile. She just went up another shoe size too. Briley has never left the 25th percentile on the growth charts. Teagan, at this pace, should pass Briley in height eventually. 
It's back to work for me on Monday. We have been visiting with Laurie, the sitter, to get Teagan used to her and her home. I dread having to leave her, but ready to get back into the routine of work again. (I can't believe I just said that!!) ~Debbie

I can't believe that Teagan is a year old already, boy did that go fast! I have enjoyed watching your Blogs and I have still been sharing them with a co-worker - who is also an adoptive mom. I hope that you still get a chance to post after you go back to work. I'm sure that your life will become instantly busier. I still dread working in the summer and it has been 19 years since I had summers off.
