Christmas 2010

As Teagan has said several times, "Christmas went really fast, Momma!" It is hard to believe Christmas is over and it is already the new year as I type this. I have not been a very good blogger lately...there just never seems to be enough time and time is really going fast. This being our first Christmas in our new home was extra special. It does finally feel like home here. We are loving the extra space and the new features of this home (especially our new fire place!).
The week before Christmas, we made it to Children's Wonderland. The girls always enjoy seeing all the lights. Since it was so cold this year, we didn't make it to the Zoo to see their light display. Teagan is still scared of people in costumes so the photo below was taken of just Briley with Teagan clinging to my knee.
We also made it to Disney on Ice the weekend before Christmas. The show featured "The Lion King", "The Little Mermaid", "Lilo and Stitch" and "Peter Pan".
The pirates and Captain Hook from Peter Pan.
The girls before church on Christmas Eve. Briley sang in the choir. Briley was also in the Church's Children's program which just happened to be at the exact same time as Teagan's Tap Dance program this year. I had to make the decision to see Teagan, while Briley went to church with Grandma and Grandpa. I was able to see Briley practice for her program during Sunday School the day of the program and my parents were able to see Teagan's practice program so it worked out ok. I was disappointed that Teagan had to miss being in the Church's program though.
I always let the girls open a few gifts on Christmas Eve. They can never seem to wait for Christmas morning!
Santa found the girls stockings on Christmas morning. We had the fire place to hang them on and everything!
Teagan asked Santa for Moon Dough. He came through for her. It was funny, when she asked him for Moon Dough, she also told him that he could go to Wal-Mart to get it--funny girl!
Briley got new games for her Nintendo DS. She has played with them so much the past week.
Zoey got a new bone.
For the girl's last gift, I sent them on "The Amazing Christmas Race". I love the show, "The Amazing Race" so I came up with clues for the girls which sent them racing all over the house. The final clue sent them to the basement where they found their last gift. They had so much fun. Briley's final gift was a Power Scooter. She loves it and has made several trips around our neighborhood on it already.
Teagan's final gift was a Plasma bike personalized with her name. You move the bike by moving the steering wheel--its really cool how it works. Teagan has been riding it all over the dining room and up and down the hallways of the house.
Then on Christmas evening, we went to my parents for a family Christmas. All the kids got new hats. Teagan got a frog and Briley a dog. Such cute hats!
All the Grandkids with Grandpa wearing their hats. Bentley and Lexus got scarfs.
We had a great Christmas. I hope all of you did too! Oh, and Happy 2011!
