My New home

We have been in our new home for almost 3 weeks now. We are finally unpacked and settling in. I have had requests of photos of our new home, so I am including some here. Teagan now has her own room and space to call all her own. She wanted her walls pink and green. She got new carpet in her favorite color--GREEN! But, don't call it carpet...it's her Grass! Here she is with her Disney tree. This is our living room. Three of the walls are tan with this one wall in a brick red color. I love the sliding glass patio door--it's especially beautiful looking out with snow on the ground. So cozy! The house has white trim throughout. We had to paint all the trim and every room also got new paint. I also put new carpet in the living room. This is a shot of the other end of the living room and my dog, Zoey. She too is finally settling in to the new house. Here is my dining room. There is another glass sliding patio door and a fire place. The kitchen is at the other end. There is a wood burner in the fire place that is being removed tomorrow. I am having a gas log set installed so we can sit on the love seat, by the fire place, watching the snow, drinking hot cocoa! My laundry room is just off of the dining room--I love my laundry being on the same floor as the bedrooms unlike my old house that had laundry in the basement. The door you see in this photo leads to the garage.

This is my master bedroom. I have my own bathroom and a walk in closet, which I love!

Briley's room has 3 purple walls and one white wall. She has pink curtains with white dots. We just realized that the white dots on her bed spread glow in the dark! She has her Hallmark Barbie tree that we have put up in her room since she was 2.

Here is the other side of her room. I cut her pink and purple dots on my Cricut and Grandma made her curtains. She got the pink desk new with the move. Briley loves spending time at her desk drawing pictures of horses.

Here is Teagan's pink and green flower room. She transitioned to the new home better than I did, much better than Briley, and also better than the dog! She loves it.

Teagan moved into Briley's loft bed with the move to the new house. Briley got an antique bed that I had in storage at my parents. Since Briley got the bigger room, she offered to give Teagan her loft bed so that she would have room under the bed to play. Such a nice big sister!

The girls this past Saturday morning eating breakfast at the island in the kitchen. We have 2 bathrooms now so no more waiting for a potty! I have a full finished basement with a family room, another fire place, a storage room complete with carpet and built in shelving, and another bedroom that we are making into a craft room. There is also a furnace room with a built in work bench and additional storage in the basement. We have a 2 car garage and outdoor storage shed. I had a new garage door and opener installed yesterday as the one with the house was not working well. We are loving this new place and hope to have many happy years here!

The girls play hide and seek and really have a hard time finding each other. I even get lost sometimes myself when I don't want them to find me! I often hear, "Mom, where are you?" This never happened in our small house before. I am getting more exercise here, just walking down the long hall! I have only locked myself out of the house 2 times in 3 weeks. The girls are making new friends and have already played in the snow with the neighbor girl. And, Zoey has made a boyfriend in Toby, the dog next door!
