Teagan has moved up to a big girl bed. She loves her toddler bed. Everytime she gets in for nap or at night, she says, "My big girl bed is comfy!" We had some issues of keeping her in the bed at first during naps, but she is d0ing better now. She's growing up way too fast.
My dad's company had a family Christmas party this past Saturday. Briley has been saying that all she wants from Santa is an Easy Bake Oven. Well, the request was put in to Santa and he delivered the goods in person, complete with Elf in tow.
Briley was so excited to get her oven...the elf and Santa who delivered it were so much fun. Briley waited for her turn...while she waited she could see the Easy Bake oven on the table. She came over to me and said, "Mom, I see an Easy Bake Oven...I think it is for me!"
She was so happy and couldn't wait to get home to start the baking fun! The first baking task...a cake! We started making the mix...all 2 tablespoons full. I had to scape the entire contents out of the bowl just to get enough mix to cover the bottom of the very tiny pan. When the "cake" was finished baking, what came out looked like a small cookie--very flat and dry too! Briley didn't care... she frosted her "cake" and asked for sprinkles to make it pretty. She choked down every bite of her "cake". Too funny!
By the way, Teagan also sat on Santa's lap (after initially running to my arms when she saw him come out of the chimney). She got an Elmo and loves it!
And, just because I like the photo so much, a shot of the girls in matching outfits after church a few weeks ago.
This Christmas is going to be so much fun with my 2 girls. They are both going to be in our church's Christmas program next Sunday evening and they know that Chirstmas is Jesus' birthday. What a joyous time of the year!
