Surprise Package From China!!

About a month ago, I sent some pictures of Teagan, Briley and myself to Teagan's foster mother. She took so much time to sew her address into Teagan's clothing that I wanted to let her know that Teagan is doing well. In the back of my mind I was hoping that she would send photos back since she would then have my return address. I never imagined that she would!! Tonight when I got my mail, I received from her 4 photos and a 6 page letter. I have to look into getting everything translated, but here are the photos and what I believe they are. This is Teagan's foster mother. I had pictures of her from the camera that I sent to China before I got Teagan. The younger lady in the photo must be her daughter. She was in one of the photos from the camera I sent to China and I wondered who she was. The man in the photo must be Teagan's foster father and the little boy must be her foster brother. In the rural areas of China, the Chinese are allowed to have a second child. They have to wait several years between the births which would account for the age span of the 2 children. With a boy, her family is complete. If the boy would have been born first, they probably would not have had a second child. The little boy looks about the same age as Briley. Notice they are wearing their coats inside. They don't usually have heat in their homes--that is why they keep the babies so bundled all the time.

This is most likey Teagan's cradle where she slept in the foster family's home. Check out the flooring!

I assume this is the apartment building where Teagan lived in Fuzhou. The people on the balcony are the foster parents and 2 other people. They are probably standing in front of their apartment door to show which one was there's. (You can click on photo to enlarge it.)

This photo is of the foster parents again and 2 young ladies. Again, I am not sure who these ladies are. The backs of all the photos have Chinese writing on them so I will know more about these photos when I get them translated. I can't wait to get the letter translated to know what the foster mother said. I sent a couple of emails to some online translators to get price quotes tonight. I will post to the blog again when I get translations. I am just so excited that she wrote to me and sent some photos of Teagan's life in China.

That is exciting Debbie! How great for Teagan to be able to see someday where she was raised as an infant before you and Briley came along. That is wonderful, I'm so happy for all of you to be able to see some of Teagans life as a baby. What wonderful Foster parents to do that for you too!!
