Kindergarten, Here I come!

Briley started Kindergarten on Thursday, 8/23. Here she is opening the door to Leggett St. School. She was a little nervous at first, but she said she had a fun time. I still can't believe she is going to school. It will hit next week when she goes 5 days straight. She said her favorite part of the day was lunch! I had tears in my eyes, but didn't let them fall.

Briley rode the bus at the end of the day to the sitter's home. I met the bus to make sure she made it to the sitter's and of course to get a photo to mark her first bus ride. She looked so little getting off the bus!
School has really changed from what I remember. The children are expected to learn so much more. Briley will be having homework most nights and they expect Kindergarten children to be reading by the time they leave kindergarten.

Teagan continues to be quite a little ham for the camera and she continues to be more and more stubborn everyday! She is really starting to show some independence. I got a new camera so I had to share some of my favorite shots of Teagan on this post too.

Teagan has really enjoyed being outside lately. Her most favorite thing is the slide. If any of you have seen Teagan's walking balance lately, you would know it is not good. So imagine her trying to climb up the slide! I have to pull her away from it kicking and screaming most nights. I didn't even have a slide for Briley when she was 14 months old.

That's why the second one grows up so fast. Teagan has learned many things from Briley--some which I wish she hadn't learned just yet!

Debbie,
Your girls are absolutely beautiful! I can't believe Briley is in Kindergarten and Teagan, she's grown so much! Emma is looking forward to the fair and wants to ride rides with Briley, we'll have to meet up sometime. Thanks for keeping your blog up, I love seeing pictures of the girls.
