We braved a 95 degree hot, humid, July day at the Columbus Zoo this week for our little family vacation. The Columbus Zoo is amazing! We wished we could have seen the entire zoo, but the hotel was calling us back to the pool to cool off. We were just too hot to continue through the whole zoo. (Clicking on a photo will enlarge it, then hit the back button to go back to blog.)

The day was even too hot for the Tiger. He panted the whole time we watched him.

Exploring all the animal statues was a favorite activity of the girls. Here they are posing with the manatee statues. The manatee house was really neat!

The girls thought this sea turtle was cute. He was in a tank filled with rays and manatees.

This little monkey was in the Australia section of the zoo. We got to see him on a boat ride we took.

The Asia Quest section of the zoo was of most interest to Briley. She is very interested in anything that has to do with China. I am so proud of her for showing such pride in China.

They found the statue from South China and wanted a picture in front of it. Both the girls are from South China.

They thought it was so cool to be able to sit in a Bicycle Rickshaw.

These were Asian Elephants...we loved the baby one. The zoo also had African Elephants.

Teagan on a baby elephant statue.

This area was an interactive area where the girls could jump, climb and slide. The best thing about this area is that it was air conditioned!

What a fun, but hot day! We love going to zoos! To see last year's vacation to the Cleveland Zoo click
