Gotcha Day

Seven years ago today, I was in Nanchang, Jiangxi, China for the biggest day of my life. I became a mother for the first time. Lu Hui Ling was placed in my waiting arms for the first time. She was such a tiny 9 month old at just less than 15 pounds. I still remember the way she smelled (which wasn't pleasant!), her tiny cry, the way she sucked her first finger on her left hand. In no time, she had me wrapped around her little finger... and still to this day, she knows it. December 1st, 2002 was such a happy day for me. Just look at the happy little girl that has become my Briley that I get to spend my days with. God is so good!
Happy Gotcha Day, Briley! I love you more than you will ever know! ~Mom

Happy Family Day! What special memories you have of your sweet daughter! Jade and I celebrated our 7 years in May... she is also from Jiangxi (so is Jasmine BTW).
