Play Ball!

It's that time of year again. Briley is playing softball again this year. I finally got to take some photos as the weather has finally cooperated. Her first game was rained out. The second game was played in the rain, and the third game was played in subzero degree weather (OK...so not quite that cold, but you get the idea.) Last night's weather was just perfect for playing ball.

A couple shots before the game. She's got the game face on! Urgh!!

Briley requested to play catcher. I think she just wanted to wear all the gear. She did a great job getting the ball back to the pitcher. She really looked little with all that gear on!

Briley at the bat. She makes connection with the ball almost every at bat on the very first pitch. She has a really nice swing. Now, I just need to get her to hit the ball from the left side of the plate. Since she is left handed, it shouldn't be too hard for her. She prefers to throw the ball left handed, but she bats from the right side.
