The first day of the school year began today for both of my girls. Briley started the first grade with a slight bit of nerves. She choose her outfit and of course wanted to wear a skirt.
We met her teacher Monday night at Open House and she seems very nice. I hope that Briley has a great year like she had in Kindergarten.
Off she goes into school on the first day. I didn't even have to walk her to her room...she went in all by herself. I snapped this photo from the car before pulling away.
And Teagan...she was so excited to go to school! Look at the big smile on her face. She knew that Briley was going to school and she wants to be like her big sister so she was excited to go to school too.
She loves her back pack and has been wearing it around the house for about a week.
Here she is in the room hanging up her back pack. I wasn't sure if she would part with it, but when she saw all the toys she was ready to play.
Teagan at the lego table talking to her teacher, Miss Kristin. She did great...she didn't cry when I left (like she did the first 3 nights at Bible school). After the 2 hour class when she saw me, she came running into my arms and said, "Mom, school fun!" She's going to love it!
