We have been home from China one month today. It seems so long ago that we were in China, yet the trip and experience will never be forgotten. We are all settling in at home now. Teagan has adjusted extremely well--better than I thought she would after her difficult start with us. She really is a very good baby. She loves playing with her toys and is quite content most of the time. She is eating well and sleeping well too. She is currently teething and has a cold, so the last two nights she has gotten up, but that is to be expected. She had her 9 month check up yesterday and she grew one inch taller and she gained 1 pound and 10 ounces (in less than one month). Needless to say, she is growing and eating well. I am enjoying my time off just being a mom. I actually have time to cook meals now. Briley and I have been baking cookies and doing those things that are difficult in the kitchen when you work until 5PM every day. I have been quite busy with appointments and just doing the things that mom's do. It has been really nice not having to worry about work--just concentrate on my girls.

Briley turned 5 on the 17th. Her, I and Teagan celebrated on her birthday at home. She got a new bike so she is very excited for nice weather so that she can ride her new bike. We then planned a birthday party at the Wauseon Rollercade for her friends and family. That party was last Saturday and everyone had a great time especially Briley. Yesterday, her preschool celebrated her birthday too and I was able to spend the last hour of class with Briley. They would have celebrated her party closer to her birthday, but it was cancelled twice because of the weather. She is getting so big. I went to her Preschool Parent Teacher conference this week too. Her teacher says she is ready for Kindergarten--I don't know that I am ready though!

Teagan loves her bath time now. Briley loves to "style" Teagan's hair in the tub. They have a lot of fun together. It is neat to see their bond for one another grow! Teagan's whole body will shake with excitement when Briley walks by. Briley has really started playing more with Teagan. They both will start giggling when playing. I have heard Briley tell Teagan that she loves her, which to a mother is so neat to hear. It brings tears to my eyes. She is also getting very protective of her too, asking where she is and if she is ok. Teagan can now play pat a cake by herself and she gives big sloopy kisses too. She has gotten 3 teeth this month and she is working on at least one more. I thank God daily for the blessing He has given me with her. I can't image my life without her or Briley in it. ~Debbie
